Eyelash Curler

By Shue Uemura

The Shue Uemura Eyelash Curler (¥1,260Prices are approximate only and subject to change.

) has always been popular with make-up artists due to its impeccable quality but recently it has been redesigned, featuring a longer lasting silicone-pad replacing the rubber one, providing a better shape for forming a perfect curl, a newly engineered patented hinge, that ensures the perfect pressure and an ergonomic handle.

High quality make-up tools are worth the extra splurge, when considering what can go wrong when trying to save costs by going with a cheaper model: If the material is inferior, the hinge isn’t properly fixed or the rubber cracks (which rubber usually does, as it becomes brittle with time) it can lead to the loss of lashes (not a good look), injuries in the eyelids or infections.

Also, some drugstore eyelash curlers rather tend to put a kink into lashes than providing that natural, gentle upward-curl. Over time the lashes tend to break where the kink in the lashes is (again: not a good look). Unfortunately lashes take longer to grow back, and like eyebrows, some just don’t.
