This Leather Money Clip (￥12,600Prices are approximate only and subject to change.
White Rabbit Express service fee and other costs not included.) utilizes the old shoemaking skills of Anchor Bridge and the leather craftsmanship of Roberu—two of Japan’s great leather craft houses.
The wallet puts functionality first, with Anchor Bridge’s shoemaking techniques and their love of “only the essential elements.” It features a number of pockets for credit cards and a polished metal clip at the center to keep notes safe, all sewn together perfectly but what really sets this money clip apart is the leather. Roberu has chosen to use Cordovan leather from a prestigious American tannery. Cordovan is horse leather from a specific part of its hind-quarters, which is then treated and polished for six months—the old fashioned way. Dyes and glazes are rubbed in by hand to hold the original texture of the leather.
The money clip is an elegant celebration of old world goods; branded into the leather on all these Anchor Bridge and Roberu products is the motto, (mistranslated, in a comforting Japanese kind of way) “meaning of making by hand.”
