Fuyu Hachi Floating Bowl

The Fuyu Hachi Floating Bowls, made in the famous Yamanaka Region, are probably the lightest bowls in the world. Despite their fragile look though, they are quite durable.

The main feature of Yamanaka Lacquerware is the woodturning lathe technique. Lacquerware is created by artisans with years of experience: in order to become a professional it takes 7-8 years of experience in each of the following four processes: making wooden bases, priming, coating and lacquer painting.

(Information via the Yamanaka page.)

If you order a set of 3 Fuyu Hachi Floating Bowls bowls (small, medium and large) via Whiterabbitexpress you will receive a 20% discount!
